If I were you. I would paint the valve cover flat black, get a OEM plastic cover for valve covers and fuel rail and paint the manifolds black also.
Here is mine.
Or leave the plastic covers all black but paint the valve cover and manifolds flat black.
OR...... If you feeling really creative.
Shave the embossed lines and the "BMW" off the two covers and paint black. Just a thought.

I have a spare rocker cover ready to paint,was going to do it Silver but after seeing your pic,think ill go for the Black now,looks cool.
Ill leave the raised bits as they are,once the M30 airbox is in it should tie it all together nicely:)
